CAN ANY OF THE TAILGATE BIKE RACKS BE LOCKED TO THE TRUCK WHEN THERE ARE NO BIKES ON THE RACK?

All of our tailgate pad bike racks, like Thule GateMate Pro Tailgate Pad for Full-Size Trucks - Up to 7 Bikes - 53" Wide, part # TH823PRO, can be locked to your truck via a cable lock like the etrailer Cable Lock - 10' Long - 5/16" Diameter - Steel - Keyed Alike, part # e98891. I recommend threading this cable through the opening in the tailgate bike racks and down then inside of the handle to a tie-down hook.

If you want a more permanent solution, you can install the ToyLok Stake Pocket Mounted Retractable Cable Lock - 15' Cable - Nylon Case, part # LC337120-337112. It is a retractable cable that you install in your stake pocket.
