Can 12 Volt Power Source for Brake Controller Install Kit # ETBC7L Run to Alternative Circuit

Question:

Can I use the factory installed 12 volt power outlet at the back end of my 2013 Honda Odyssey to get power to the ETBC7L rather than running a new wire from the battery.

The reason you want to run the power wire of the # ETBC7L up to the vehicle battery is because this is the circuit that the brake controller draws power from and you want it to bypass all of the vehicle wiring so as to prevent a short from damaging any of the circuits. This is why you can't use the circuit at the rear of the vehicle.
