The Curt Hitch item # C72RJ is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It is custom fit and will include all hardware necessary to bolt this hitch directly to your CX-5.

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C45FV is the one you'll need for your 2026 Mazda CX-5. It'll add a 4-way connector and plugs in behind your tail lights.

I’ll only be pulling lightweight motorcycle or landscape trailers, as the CX-5 is only rated at 1500 lbs. I think I’ll wait to actually order until I’ve read the installation instructions re: any cutting of fascia or bumper parts. Until mid-summer, I can continue using my Toyota Sequoia for towing duties.

@Ian Hey Ian. The installation instructions for the Curt item # C72RJ are going to be added to the website at the beginning of next week. Curt just recently posted them on their website so I'm getting the link added. There's no trimming involved so it'll be an easy installation.
