Question:

I have a equalizer weight distribution hitch and I am looking for a 18 shank but in a class 5 2.5x2.5 I only see it for class 3

I have a solution for you, but currently we do not have a 2-1/2" shank that is 18" long. The Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4500 measures 18" long with a 7" rise/3" drop and fits a 2" hitch. Currently the longest we have for a 2-1/2" hitch is the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4700 which measures 12" long with a 7" rise/3" drop.

However, you can use a reducer sleeve like the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve # C45405 which will allow you to use the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4500 in your 2-1/2" hitch.

I would love to see someone make a 18" 2.5" shank with a little more length to fill the hitch better. These spacers are ok but they seem to reduce the contact area in the hitch which introduced more slop.

@James I completely understand where you're coming from. We have some alternative options like the Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank # 325-GH-1102 which is 12-5/8" from the hitch pin hole to the adjustment hole centers, but that's a bit more expensive and high-performance than the Equal-i-zer Shank # EQ90-02-4600 and Adapter Sleeve # C45405. One thing you might consider using with the Equal-i-zer shank is the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-062 which essentially clamps down on the shank and pulls it tight against the hitch interior. It isn't as good as a 2-1/2" shank, but it's honestly the next best thing.
