Fogatti Tankless Water Heater EC Error Code TroubleShoot

Updated 05/23/2024 | Published 02/08/2022

Question:

Do you carry just a replacement for the LCD control panel? Panel displays EC code and will not power on or off, or display any indicator.

The EC code on your Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 41,800 Btu - Black # LSB44FR means the pilot light tried to ignite but could not due to low gas pressure.

If the control panel is displaying error codes then it is working and need not be replaced. The panel itself is not a replaceable part as is.

The unit needs an 11 inch water column, 11"WC, to ignite. I recommend getting a licensed technician to come look at it first.

If this does not help you reply back and we can keep working towards the solution you need.

I have attached a list of the other error codes just so you have it for future reference too.

I just installed the fogatti tankless water heater. It has the EC error code. Everything works but can’t adjust the water temperature. Just displays EC.

@Tracy I reached out to the manufacturer and I do have some questions to ask to help troubleshoot. The EC code indicates that there is something going on with the communication of the wired controller. Please make sure that the wire terminal of the wired controller is fully plugged in. Then if the issue is still happening, please test and let me know the voltage of the connection to the main board. You can use a voltage meter for this. And also test the let me know the voltage of the connections to the wired controller.

@Cas You should read 12 volts when testing the voltage on these wires. What kind of trouble are you having? We often recommend reaching out the manufacturer on these water heaters. If you need the details please let me know.
