Question:
Hello, I have a 2007 tacoma dbl cab 5ft bed w towing package and will be trailering a 2022 flagstaff e-pro 19fds trailer, uvw is 3360, ccc is 1092, hitch weight is 452, 208 length, single axle. I was thinking of getting a weight distribution hitch, air bags, add a leaf, or some combination. Do you have any recommendations? Sounds like weight distribution is the best option for leveling and getting some weight off rear axle of truck, is this true? If I were to get a weight dist. hitch, how should I go about picking one, just weight or more specific to truck and trailer? It appears like the length of the weight dist arms would be important to make sure they line up to the correct spot on the trailer, or are they all pretty standard? Is it worth it to get more than 1 solution like air bag or add a leaf and weight dist hitch? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, .

The best option for leveling while towing/hauling is an air bag kit because there is no additional setup like a weight distribution system and they can be adjusted easily to get the perfect mix of comfort and support. I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2407 if the axle is located below the leaf spring pack or part # F2410 if it's above.
The air bag kit can then be combined with a weight distribution system if you want, may others use this combo because the system will provide some extra support but also built in-sway control in most cases. This system will be chosen based on the trailer tongue weight mostly, the Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution part # BLU36FR is a great option for this and will work well with the above.
