Troubleshooting Intermittent "Service trailer brake system" Message on a 2011 Silverado

Question:
Hello, I have a 2011 Silverado 4 wheel diesel truck . The message "service trailer brake system" comes on when I start the truck then goes off. Does not come on all the time ,. I pull a 35ft 5th wheel , but the message does not come on. ?? do I have power to the 5th wheel ??

It sounds like a intermittent issue between the connectors of your 7-way connector. Some Dielectric Grease # 11755 may clear up the issues between the connectors on your 2011 Chevrolet Silverado.
If it continues to occur you will likely need to have it connected to a computer at a service center since intermittent issues like that are hard to diagnose unless they are on.
