LED Light Kit for Cargo Carrier Connector and Functions

Question:
I plan on mounting this tow light kit on the roof of the car because bikes obstruct the cars tail lights. My question is: will the tow light kit wiring harness plug directly into the cars trailer lights outlet that was installed with the trailer hitch. Tail lights are operational when the trailer wiring harness is plugged into the outlet so I assume these lights will be as well. Am I correct on my thinking? 2012 Honda Crv
