What is Purpose of Angled Lid on Excel Tankless Water Heater part # EX93FR

Question:
What is the access door that opens on the top of the heater. There are several pictures showing the unit from front/ back and bottom but none from the top. Would like to know before ordering it. Thanks

The angled metal piece on top of the Excel Tankless Water Heater part # EX93FR that you referenced is actually a removable exhaust deflector louvre. This is designed to prevent any condensation from dripping down and hitting the coils of the heater. If not needed it can be removed.
