Question:

I want a hitch for my 22 Odyssey Elite so I can tow. Preferably one that does not hang down across the back so I have more clearance. Thanks.

I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76170 for towing with your 2022 Honda Odyssey Elite. This hitch has a concealed cross tube so only the receiver will be hanging down below the rear bumper. This will help give you additional clearance as well as provide a factory look. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a max gross trailer weight of 3,500 lbs and 525 lbs for your towing needs.

Since you plan on towing, you will also need wiring and a ball mount. For wiring, I recommend the Tekonsha # 118781. This wiring harness plugs into a port in the rear cargo area, providing you with a 4-way to power signal lights on a trailer.

For a ball mount, I like the the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
