Question:

Hi Like Rob stated - I do not see the reason for a capturelocking plate for the demco auto slide. The Demco auto slide hitch has the capture feature built in. The capture locking plate can be installed on the Mor/ryde trailer BUT it would have to be removed to be towed with a non slider normal hitch!! Kind of a pain! and not to mention the severe bending and twisting damage if you forgot to remove it! Thanks

The Demco Hijackers like the # DM8550024 do have locking plates on the sides of them to prevent having to use a capture plate for most fifth wheel pin boxes but the MORryde pin boxes have a cut out area on the sides of the pin box to allow for the movement/cushioning so the locking plates wouldn't work. And even if they could it would prevent the cushioning from working. This is why you have to use a capture plate like the part # DM6025.
