Question:

I just recently got my 2021 Chevy Equinox set up for flat towing behind my classs A. Now we want to also carry our 2 electric bikes on the back of the motor home. I already have a dual hitch adaptor, but now Im trying to figure out which bike rack to purchase. I think Ive narrowed it down to the Hollywood HLY64FR, or the Thule XT. Is one better suited for use while also flat towing?

The Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes, # TH903202 is a great bike rack, I recommend it often. This rack is not rated for motorhome use, though.

The Hollywood Racks RV Rider, # HLY64FR has the advantage of heavier bike weight rating and being rated to use on a hitch for your 2021 Chevy Equinox while being flat-towed. Since this rack can be used on a motorhome, this is the way to go.

If your 2021 Chevy Equinox does not already have a hitch, and you are considering one. I suggest the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 76419. This is a Class III rated hitch that has a 2" x 2" receiver opening and a vertical weight/tongue weight of 675 lbs. So this will handle a either bike rack option well if want to move the bike rack from the motorhome to the towed once at destination. But this will also provide option for the eBikes to be carried on the 2021 Chevy Equinox while be flat-towed if you go with the Hollywood Racks RV Rider, # HLY64FR.
