Question:

I am replacing an Atwood GC10A-4E water heater, will the Furrion FR48SR fit and cover the existing opening? Do I need to make modifications to the opening? Are there any other brands of tankless water heaters that will work and fit or cover the existing opening?

The body of the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU - 16" x 18" Door # FR48SR has similar dimensions to your Atwood GC10A-4E water heater at 12-5/8L x 12-13/16W x 19-3/16D so you'll need to make slight alterations to your cutout hole to fill in the gap but the 16" x 18" door should cover the opening. The on-demand hot water and ability to set the temperature to a specific degree instead of the old fashioned arrow knob will make your camping experience much more enjoyable.

The # FR48SR has the following requirements to properly operate:

12VDC Power Input.

7.2-65PSI water Pressure (40-50PSI recommended). I recommend using a water pressure regulator like # CAM40064 to ensure proper water pressure.

11" WC - 14" WC (13" WC recommended). I recommend having a licensed technician check your pressure and adjust your regulator accordingly to ensure proper gas pressure.
