Do the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs Create Lift On a 1987 Saab 900

Question:
Even with no payload in the rear of my car, the rear is much lower than the front. Will this product provide any lift at all? Or do the bags even when fully inflated only push outward on the springs with no lift at all? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs part # AL60756 which are a fit for a 1987 Saab 900 stop the coil springs from compressing as much when a load is present. Therefore, if you are loaded or the factory suspension is worn, the air bags will provide what some would call a lift. For example, if the cause of the rear end sagging was due to worn suspension and you were to install the air bags and inflate to max psi then the sag in the rear would be reduced. I will say however that this is not what these are designed for so I must recommend you repair the suspension first.
