Question:
Can I mount the boat buckle on the underside of my trailer

The only reason I would suggest not mounting the BoatBuckle G2 Retractable, Ratcheting Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF08893 on the bottom/underside of a trailer is due to it being more exposed to road debris. If you are not worried about that though, then you are perfectly fine doing so. These do have a pretty robust housing for protection, but I do suggest making sure they are nice and clean before storing the trailer to make sure they don't have any gunk that could build up and inhibit their use.
