What Maintenance is Required for B&W Companion Slider 5th Wheel Hitch

Question:

Is there any zerk fittings on the sliding rails or do I need to apply grease. Or is there any maintenance to the sliding rails? Do I need to worry if powder coating is coming off the top plate?

For your B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3400 I recommend following the maintenance information listed in the instructions.

You need to lubricate the saddle, jaws, polyurethane bushings, and top surface of the coupler. See the attached image showing these steps. There is not a zerk fitting for the sliding rails, and the rails do not need to be greased or lubricated.

If the powder coating is coming off you may want to spray some paint over the exposed metal to keep it protected. Also, make sure to keep plenty of grease on it as indicated in the 4th step of the hitch maintenance shown below.
