Can this be driven when just partly closed? Are there any supports bars to help hold the cover up when its raining or snowing?

In order to have this option, you will have to go with a retractable tonneau cover. The TruXedo Pro X15 Soft Tonneau Cover - Roll Up - Polyester and Vinyl - Matte Black, part # TX1473301, cannot be driven partly closed. You can drive with it completely open or closed. There is no "in between".

For example, the Pace Edwards JackRabbit Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover w Explorer Rails - Aluminum and Vinyl - Black, part # PE76CV, can be secured at 12" intervals. It is a tonneau cover that can be used in a 5th wheel application without it having to be completely retracted.

With regard to extra supports for the tonneau cover when it snows. This particular tonneau cover has a weight limit of 150 lbs if it is evenly distributed. Our recommendation is to clear standing snow off your tonneau cover as soon as possible.
