Question:
Which hitch would you recommend for mounting on a 2006 Silverado 1500 4X4 ? I am looking to use a light duty hitch mounted winch and to push/pull light duty trailers with it.

The best option for a front-mounted trailer hitch for your 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 is from Curt, because they are the easier install that won't require any drilling into your truck's frame. The correct one will depend on if you have a 1500 LD or 1500 HD:
- 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 LD: Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 31302
- 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 HD: Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 31108
These will do a really nice job for you to push or pull a light duty trailer with their 9,000 lb line pull and 500 lb vertical load (which you can think of like the towing/tongue weight capacities of a rear hitch). This will allow you to use a winch set up like the ComeUp Off-Road Winch with Mounting Plate for 2" Hitches # CU854768.
