What Front Hitch will Work with My 2021 Ford Transit T350 AWD ECOBOOST V6 Gas with Skid Plate?

Question:

Hi, Ive bought rear hitch for two cars at etrailer and Im very happy with those. Now Im looking for front hitch for our 2021 Ford transit 350 HD HR CREW AWD 3.5L ECOBOOST V6 GAS. I can find EH79CR and EH69CR. But the pictures show something I think wont fit: there is no-hole behind my license plate, There is a skitplate that blocks installation of the other. Im happy to send some pictures to see what could work.

Hello Robert,

Let’s get you set up with a front hitch that works with your configuration. Since your Transit has the EcoBoost engine, the # EH69CR unfortunately will not be compatible.

The correct fit for your 2021 Ford Transit 350 HD High Roof Crew AWD with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 Gas engine would be the EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH79CR.

I reached out to Torklift (the manufacturer of EcoHitch), and they confirmed that as long as your skid plate is factory, this hitch will install without any issues.

@KateF I was able to install the EH79CR front-hitch without any problematic hurdles. Since I'm not experienced engineer it was a fullday job for me. Since installation we used to drive around with two bikes on the hitch from california to alaska without any issues.

@Robert Glad you were able to get the install done Robert! Alaska is definitely on my bucket list of places to travel to, would love to go up there and fish for salmon. I really do appreciate you taking the time to respond, this will be most helpful to others with the same set-up =)
