Question:

I see that there are 2 Gooseneck hitch ball kits for my 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. Can you tell me which one is going to be better for my truck? I have the factory in bed mounting points already.

The B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit # BWGNXA2061 is going to be the kit I recommend. This kit includes a 2-5/16" hitch ball that is rated for 30,000lbs. The reason I prefer this kit is that it has the folding handle that is used to lock the ball in the factory in bed prep/puck system on your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. This will help keep your hands clean when it is time to remove the ball.

The Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit # C38CR is rated for 38,000lbs of trailer capacity. The thing I don't like is that the lever used to hold this ball in place is on the top of the ball. This will not only become covered in grease from the hitch but it will also stand a risk at becoming difficult to remove. Over time the ball will begin to wear down from use and often times it will create a ridge where the latch is for the ball. This will make it difficult to remove the ball if that ridge gets big enough.

The White Grease Hitch Ball Lube # 58117 is best for lubing your gooseneck ball to cut down on the noise and friction.
