Can The Progressive Dynamics 4500 Series Converter/Chargers Charge Lead Acid And Lithium Batteries

Question:
OK I just purchased a pd4500 series power control center. In every description Ive read and specs on it says its compatible with both lead acid and lithium batteries. Trying to install it. Reading directions and I cm across and part that says DO NOT USE TO RECHARGE LEAD/ACID BATTIES THAT 4500 SERIES IS DESIGNED TO RECHARGE LITHIUM BATTERIES. REALLY? PLEASE EXPLAIN

I took a look at the owner's manual for the Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center # PD4575K18LS8 and found what you are looking at.
The lithium/lead acid switch is a new feature added to the 4500 series converter chargers so my guess is the user manual hasn't been updated.
There should be switch shown in the attached image that will let you switch to lead acid mode (LA) or lithium mode (LI).
