If your 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 is a 4WD model that has a two speed transfer case with a Neutral and 4WD Low setting, it can be flat towed. If its a 2WD or if it DOES NOT have a two speed transfer case, it cannot be flat towed and would need to be towed on a trailer with all 4 wheels off the ground.

For base plates, I'd recommend the Roadmaster # RM-523199-5 which are compatible with vehicles that have tow hooks. For a tow bar, go with the Falcon All Terrain tow bar, part # RM-522. The Falcon All Terrain self centers and is non binding, so it's very easy to use. You won't need to have the truck perfectly lined up behind the motorhome to hitch up. As you drive off, the tow bar arms will self center and lock into place. You'll also need # RM-643 safety cables.

To wire the truck for flat towing, use # RM-152-98146-7. You'll also need a supplemental braking system like part # SM99243 if your motorhome has air brakes or # SM99251 if it has hydraulic brakes. You will also need an auto battery disconnect, part # RM-766 per the owners manual and a charge line kit, part # RM-156-25 is recommended to keep the vehicle battery topped off while flat towing.

Finally, if the installed base plates have more than a 3 inch height difference compared to the receiver height on the motorhome, you'll need to use a high/low adapter to bring the tow bar within 3 inches of level. I'll link a help article that shows how to measure for the height difference, as well as to our selection of high/low adapters.
