Question:
Hello All and Happy Holidays, I am wanting to get an inexpensive trailer hitch for my little, 2006 Saturn Ion #3 quad. Just need to haul small motorcycle Utility Trailer. Please send me info on what you have in least expensive, easiest to install, etc etc. Thank You,

We have just what you need. There are two options with negligible cost difference. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C11115 that is confirmed to fit the 2006 Saturn Ion excluding Ion3 with 2.4L engine option. Or, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C11447 for the the 2006 Saturn Ion Red Line and Ion3 equipped with a 2.4L engine. Both have equal specs of being a Class 1 hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver, maximum gross trailer weight of 2,000 lbs. and max tongue weight of 200 lbs. Both are a bolt-on installation - no welding required and have hardware kit and installation instructions included.
For towing you will need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, # C56036. This T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring with no cutting, splicing or tapping required; it plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness located behind the tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.
You will also need a ball mount such as the Draw-Tite Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches - 5/8" Rise - 9-3/4" Long - 2,000 lbs. item # 3591. The hitch pin is included. And a ball for the ball mount, ,either 1-7/8" or 2" depending on what size coupler is on the item you are towing. You can follow the below link for what is available depending on the size you need.
