The wiring adapter you will need to install a brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195 on 2016 Ford F-550 Cab and Chassis is the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3034-P.
This adapter plugs into the connector behind your vehicle's dashboard. To reach the connector, first locate the notch in the access panel in the center of the dash, near the passenger side. Using a trim panel puller, like the # PT73HJ, carefully pry the panel out and undo the locking tabs to remove the panel. You will find the mating connector behind this portion of your dashboard.
If you don't already have a 7-way connector on your vehicle you can install the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7. If your vehicle already has a 4-way flat, this kit includes everything you need to install an electric trailer brake controller and 7-way connector. If there's not an existing 4-way flat on your vehicle, you can purchase one separately # 18252.
