Question:
Hi. I have a 2022 195rb Jay Flight SLX 7 Jayco, I am interested on installing a shock kit on it, what do you recommend for this model? Thanks.

The correct kit will depend on the weight capacity and diameter of your axle, but we definitely have a couple options for you to look at. From what I could find about your 2022 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 7 195RB, the GVWR will be 3,995 pounds, so I definitely recommend double checking the axle capacity before going with one of these.
With that out of the way, first we have the Lippert Bolt-On Shock Kit w/ Heavy Duty Gas Shocks # LC281255 for a 3,500 pound 2-3/8" axle or # LC281281 for a 5,200 to 7,000 pound 3" axle. These are basically the standard for trailer shock and are pretty universal. They do a good job and will definitely smooth out the ride when towing, making it a more pleasant experience. All Hardware and brackets are included, but these do have to have at least 4" of clearance between inside of tire and the I-beam flange for them to fit. This isn't an issue very often, but it has come up before and is something to be aware of.
However, the Roadmaster Comfort Ride # RM-2450-50 for 3,500 pound 2-3/8" axles and # RM-2460-50 for 5,200 to 7,000 pound 3" axles do not have this restriction. These will install inside of the leaf springs instead of in between the leaf springs and wheel, so they are more adaptable. Again all hardware and brackets are included, so install is relatively quick and painless. Another big plus with these is the 1 year warranty versus the 90 day warranty that comes with the Lippert option. I do need to mention that these are technically "add-on" kits to get a third axle set up with their tandem axle kits, but Roadmaster has confirmed that they can be used for single axle trailers as well. These are a bit more expensive, but would be the way I would go if I were to be upgrading a trailer.
