Question:
Why dont trailers have shock absorbers? Out of balance tires or rough roads cause the trailer to move/bounce/sway, but no shocks.

Some trailers do have shock absorbers; it isn't all that common but is gaining popularity, mostly among camping trailers. The main reason it's not too common is most people aren't worried about the ride being that smooth. Usually the trailer's suspension is enough since people aren't riding in the trailer and most are traveling on highways or at least paved roads. Also, trailer suspension can be enhanced using cushioned equalizers or helper springs instead of shocks.
We actually carry two kits to add shocks to a trailer:
# LC281281 for 3 inch axles
# LC281255 for 2-3/8 inch axles
Both kits include tie plates and u-bolts that replaces the current hardware on your trailer. There's a top bracket that is connected to the trailer's frame and then the shock is connected to that bracket and the tie plates.
I've linked the install details of both kits as well.

Hi, I have a 2020 Stealth Titan 6x12 enclosed single axle cargo trailer without brakes. Would you know if the LC281255 kit would work on this trailer? Also would adding this help to control the bouncing I sometimes encounter especially on rough interstates. It has load range D radial tires on it. The axle is mounted more toward the rear of the trailer verses in the middle which helps a lot with stability and sway control it just seems to do a lot of bouncing on rough interstates. Thanks for your help

Hi can you add the shocks after the trailer is built ?? This may seem like a silly q. But I think it is important.
