Replacement Rubber Strip for VW Branded Roof Rack on a VolksWagen GTI

Question:

Hello I have a VW 2014 gti with a roof rack crossbars that I would like to fit the rubber strips on them but don’t know the right one to purchase or fitment size . I added some photos of it and also from VW site which is discontinued. Thank you

I may have a solution for you. The Replacement Rubber Strip # TH853354407 is designed to fit into a channel that is 7/16 of an inch wide on the top and 7/8 of an inch wide at the bottom. I have included a diagram that shows these measurements. You can use that to confirm that this will work for you but I have also included a review from someone who has a VW Golf that said this replacement part worked for their VW Branded racks.

"These rubber strips worked just fine on my VW-branded racks for my Golf. I had to use these because I bought the car used with the racks but without the rubber strips. The VW dealer couldnt find a part for them."
