Question:
I watched a video on this site that showed how to set up a 7 pin plug using 118683 and ETBC7 on a 2018 XC90, but near the end of the video I noticed that the reverse lights were not tied in. Do you have insight on how reverse lights are to be tied into the 7 pin plug? DO I need any additional parts?

Most trailers do not utilize the reverse circuit. In this instance we did not hook up the reverse lights to the 7-way connector. You can easily tie the reverse lights into your 7-way connector. the yellow wire on the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires, part # ETBC7, will get tied into the reverse circuit on your vehicle. You will need to splice the reverse wire to tie the wires together.
I have included a helpful link about wiring a 7-way connector to your vehicle below.
