How Far Out Will The Coupler Sit On The Demco DM14791-97 A-Frame Coupler?

Question:
what A-frame angle is this used on? what it the distance in inches between the center of the ball socket and the visible weld area where the coupler starts to fan out for the frame rails? I need one longer than what I have now. The one I have now this is about 3.5inch as shown in photo will this work on a 3inch wide frame channel?

The Demco A-Frame Coupler # DM14791-97 will fit the fairly standard 50 degree A-Frame, which you do look to have. This will definitely extend farther than your current coupler and will measure 7-1/2" long (roughly) from where the A-Frame will start to flare outwards. The sidewalls of the A-Frame brackets will also measure 3-1/4" tall, so there will be plenty of room for your 3" frame rails.
So with all that being said, the Demco # DM14791-97 looks to be a fantastic replacement for your current coupler.
