Weight Distribution Recommendation for Lance Camper with GVWR of 7000 lb

Question:
Hello, I have a Lance trailer with a GVWR of 7000 lbs and a GMC 2500 pickup. Do I need an exact weight number to choose the best setup? In the past I forgo the distribution setup as I do not like the ride I get. My current setup is just too big. Not sure the rating but the bars are enormous so I dont use them unless the wind is really blowing. Looking for distribution setup with sway control. Thanks

To pick out the best weight distribution you need at least a pretty close figure on what the tongue weight will be. The reason for this is if you go too low the system isn't effective and if you overshoot it you end up with a pretty rough ride quality. Which based on the description of your ride quality and fact you said the bars are huge I predict that this is what's going on with your setup.
So the part # BLU82XR could work for you but it has a pretty narrow tongue weight range at 600-800 lbs. If your tongue weight is for sure 700 lbs this would be perfect. If you wanted something that would have a bigger range and a better sway control instead the Strait Line part # RP66084 would be what you'd want as it has a range of 600-1,200 lbs and features only sway control that works to prevent sway before it starts.
