There are differences. The differences lie in the fitment and capacities of each hitch. The Curt 13494 which we sell as part # C67JR fits the 2020-2022 Subaru Outback and 2020-2021 Subaru Legacy models of the same model years. The hitch has a 3500 lb towing/350 lb tongue weight rating.
The Curt 13437 which we offered as # CU89FR has recently been discontinued and is therefore no longer available. It fit the same vehicles as the # C67JR, but was also a fit for the 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness. The hitch also had a slightly higher capacity at 4000 lbs towing/400 lb tongue weight.
The # C67JR is a new offering from Curt, so they don't have the installation instructions posted on their website yet, but Curt tells me that the install procedure between the two is identical. The fact that the hitch is new is why we don't have product reviews yet.

Hi Mike, Correct me if I'm wrong but: Curt datasheet for their 13494 (your C67JR) says 350lb tongue weight. Their datasheet for its predecessor 13437 (your CU89FR) says 600lb tongue weight. So I'm guessing older 13437 had thicker steel in some places????
