Hello, I have an existing 4 pin connector installed on my 2020 Subaru crosstrek, I need to upgrade to a 7 pin so I can use the breaks on a small trailer. What do I need to do to do this upgrade?

In order to convert the 4-pin on a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek to a 7-pin you only really need an adapter. That said, if the intent is for trailer brakes then you'll need extra wires and fuses but we package kits with everything you need for the adapter and extras. The best kit for you will be dependent on what type of brake controller you are looking for. I recommend wireless since there is no splicing or drilling into the dash. For this, you'll need the Brake Controller Wiring Kit part # ETBC7L and Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller part # C51180.
