The bumper on a 2021 Toyota Highlander does not need to be removed at all in order to install a trailer hitch on your 2021 Toyota Highlander, and that includes the installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C45CR.

If you plan on doing any towing with your Highlander you'll also need a trailer wiring harness, with the correct fit depending on if you have the factory tow package or not.

- WITHOUT Factory Tow Package: T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK99FR

- WITH Factory Tow Package: T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK74FR

You can easily mount either of these connectors to the pre-existing tab on the Draw-Tite hitch with the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144.
