Question:
Will this rack work with a factory built in hitch on the model Y? The built in hitch is a bit more recessed about 2.5 inches into the bumper than the websites photos seem to depict on other vehicles.

In order to know for sure if the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202, we need to know whether there is less than 8 inches from the center of the hitch's pinhole to the outside of your rear bumper. In order to confirm this fit, I recommend measuring the center of your hitch pinhole to the front face of your bumper. If that measurement is less than 8 inches, then the EasyFold XT will fit.
Another thing that is important to remember about the EasyFold XT is that the hitch's pinhole must be at least 1.5 inches from the face of the hitch in order for it to work with the rack's shank. I went ahead and attached a diagram of this required measurement.
If your hitch's pinhole does not measure at least 1.5 inches from the opening of your hitch, I recommend the Kuat NV 2.0 Base Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches # BA22B along with the Access Ramp for Kuat NV 2.0 # ANVBRB. With the NV 2.0, you do not have the hitch pinhole length requirement that exists for the EasyFold XT. Also, the NV 2.0 has a similar per-bike weight capacity as the EasyFold XT (60 pounds compared to the 65 pounds of the EasyFold XT). However, it must be noted that the distance from the center of your hitch's pinhole to the face of your bumper must not exceed 6-5/8 inches in order to clear the rear bumper.
