Question:

I would like to add a trailer hitch to my 2021 Subaru Forester Sport since I'm planning to pull a light utility trailer. I would prefer one that doesn't have that bar hanging down you can see on some vehicles since I don't think that looks very appealing. Is there one you would recommend?

For your 2021 Subaru Forester Sport I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C47HR. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver and has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 lbs. Make sure to check your owner's manual if you don't know the towing capacity of your vehicle, you will be limited by the lowest capacity whether that is your vehicle or the hitch. This hitch has a concealed cross tube so the only thing hanging down will be the receiver which helps maintain a factory look.

Since you plan on towing a trailer, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 if you don't have a 4-way connection for your lights. This wiring harness connects quickly and easily by plugging directly into existing wiring. If you also need a ball mount, I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989899 which comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball. It also comes with a ball mount bag you can store everything in.
