Comparing Curt Q24 and A25 5th Wheel Hitches For 2022 Ford F-350 Long Bed With OEM Prep Pkg
Published 10/08/2021 >
Question:
I am looking to get a new fixed 5th wheel hitch for my 2022 Ford F350 long bed with the pucks and have always stuck with the Curt brand. I see there is a Q24, Q25, and A25 hitch all with the same ratings. What is the difference?

It can definitely be confusing how the Curt A25 # C16036 and Q24 # C16545-16017 are available for your 2022 Ford F-350 with the OEM Puck system when they all seem so similar.
The biggest difference is between the A series and Q series hitches. The Q series hitch uses a unique spherical axial bearing that allows 360 degrees of movement and shock absorption and standard dual jaws where the A series uses a fully articulating torsion head, and uses interlocking dual jaws instead.
I recommend going with the A25 # C16036 due to these differences and the head design is a bit more rigid which is ideal due to how loose the Q series head assemblies could get, and for the extra security and smoothness due to the interlocking jaws.
Each of these hitches is limited to 24,000lbs trailer weight and 6,000lbs hitch weight due to that being the rating of the legs designed for your puck system.
I included a video of the # C16036 for you to take a look at.
