The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14082 is confirmed to fit on your 1984 Chevrolet C/K short box pickup with a step or standard bumper and frame rails that measure 34" across from outside rail to outside rail.
The holes for mounting this receiver will need to be drilled into your frame. I have provided a link to the installation instructions below for you to reference.
The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118311 will connect to your factory harness and provide you with a 4-way flat trailer lighting connector that fits most small trailers.
