Replacement for 50 Amp Newmark RV Power Converter

Question:

Can this product replace a late 90s Newmark DCV 50 F power converter? Although the old converter used 50 AMPS I doubt my houseboat power ever comes close to drawing that especially since I have upgraded the 12 v lights to LED. If this doesnt work do I need to step up to the 60 AMP model?

The Go Power RV Converter and Smart Battery Charger part # 34266168 will work well to replace a 50 Amp Newmark RV Power Converter. It's unlikely the 5 amp difference will have an impact on the system. The correct size converter is chosen based on load and the best method for selecting this is to simply choose one with either the same rating as before or as close as you can get which in this case is 45 amps.
