Expert Reply:
If the Dutton-Lainson Electrical Quick Connect # DL24086 for your Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Trailer Winch # TW4015 gets wet when launching and loading your boat you should disconnect the circuits to protect them from damage in the water. Since they are not waterproof you can risk damaging the winch and wiring if they are submerged in water.
I recommend mounting the connectors where they will stay dry and you do not have to worry about water getting into the connectors. Some Dielectric Grease # 11755 can be used to protect the terminals from corrosion if they do get a little water on them.
