For 5th wheel base rails and an installation kit for your 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 that will work with both a 4WD and 2WD, as well as a short or long bed the best option is one from Curt:
- Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Chevy/GMC Truck # C16429-204
I recommend this kit for your Silverado because they do not require any drilling into your Chevy's frame rails to install. Not having to drill is not only great for your truck but will benefit you whether you are doing the install yourself (saving hours) or having a professional do it (less install time equals less expensive labor costs).
They will allow you to mount any 5th wheel hitch that fits into above-bed base rails, such as the outstanding Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16140 if you have a long bed, or if you have a short bed, the sliding Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with R20 Slider # C16541.
The only other thing you would need if you don't have one is a 5th wheel wiring harness, the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness # C53CR.
