Yes the Curt trailer hitch receiver # C13294 will fit your 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE.
If you are going to haul a trailer you will also need a ball mount like the Curt class III # C45036 ,2 inch ball included. As well as a wire harness to power trailer lights, like the Curt 4-Pole Flat Vehicle Wiring Harness mounting bracket included. # C58345. If the trailer you are towing has electric brakes it will need a different harness like the Universal Wiring Harness with Brake Controller Harness # 22551
