Size of Replacement O-Ring for Bearing Shaft of Curt C16265 Q25 5th Wheel Hitch

Mike answered a question but what’s the diameter on the oring “The O-ring on the bearing shaft you speak of is not a replacement part Curt offers, but you can easily find one at a hardware store. You'll need a 31.5 mm O-ring.”

On the Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # C16265 and previous question that references O-ring size. The needed diameter is 31.5 mm, for thickness, an O-ring of about 2 or 3mm is sufficient. Its exact thickness is not crucial as it is not required for creating a seal but rather in place for purpose of creating a stop location.

Within the "INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS" for the Q25 (current online copy is linked below) page 6 in text under figure 9, it states "...The O-ring retainer stop is placed in its groove...". This O-ring simply needs to be of a thickness that raises above the groove to provide a stop location.
