I am happy to confirm that our installation team here at etrailer.com has attached the Adarac Aluminum M-Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum # AD49FR along with the BAKFlip tonneau cover. The reason why you cannot see the front stake pockets on your 2018 Ford F-150 (5-1/2 Ft. Bed) is because Ford decided to completely cover the pocket with the plastic rail cover in order to decrease water infiltration into the pocket when not in use. The best way to remove the plastic cover is by drilling a hole in the center of the pocket so you can see your exact location, then drill a hole in each corner. Then, use a jig saw to cut the plastic cover using the metal pocket side as a guide.

However, if you already own a tonneau cover like the BAKFlip MX4 # BAK48329, you will not be able to open the cover with the Adarac M-Series installed because you will not have enough room for the height of the panels. With that being said, I recommend the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4000964. The height of the crossbars on the Adarac Pro Series will give you enough room to open the panels on the MX4 without interfering with the uprights or crossbars. It also comes with the same 500-pound weight capacity as the M-Series. In addition, you also have the option to purchase tie-down eye bolts # A4000882 and sliding adjustable load stops # A4000880. If you need straps to secure your cargo, I recommend the BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Ratchet Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF14207.
