Solution to Allow Connection of Safety Chain Clevises to Larger Chain Loops on 2022 Winnebago Forza

Question:

Hi, I have a Roadmaster Sterling All-terrain purchased through you and it has these cables. They have been great for years. I recently purchased a new motor home 2022 Winnebago Forza and the snap hooks are too small to completely clip on the motor home hitch as the distance from the hole to the edge is thicker or wider so it is too thick for the clasp on the hook to close. This motor home has a 10K towing capacity whereas my previous motor home home was 5K. Do they make this cable with larger hooks or should I go to a different solution. Thanks!

I may have a solution for you, but I checked with my contact over at Roadmaster and there are unfortunately not different sized clevis hooks on their safety cables like the # RM-655. However, you may be able to use some quick links like the Quick Links - 1/2" Diameter - Qty 2 # 37201345 to allow you to connect to the larger safety chain loops on your 2022 Winnebago Forza; you can then connect your safety chain clevises to the quick link directly.
