Question:
Have you come across a 7-way trailer plug made by Conntek? If so, is there a way to disassemble it for replacement? It came with my trailer and it appears to be completely molded with no way to take it apart. If not, I can cut the wires to replace it but would prefer not to. Thanks.

While that brand is not familiar, if it is a 7-way trailer connector with a molded cable, you will indeed need to replace the connector by cutting the wires. While I know it is not the news you were looking for, it is what you'll need to do as the plugs themselves won't come off. So what you will need to do is to just replace it with another 7-way with a cable that you'll connect the wiring to:
- 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector # H20043
This connector uses 10, 12, and 14 gauge wires, so to connect the wires you can use the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector - 16-14 Gauge # DW05744-5 and 12-10 Gauge # DW05745-5.
