So I upgraded to a 2021 GMC Sierra 3500 4 x 4 short bed from a 2001 GMC 2500 sierra extra cab short bed 4 x 4,Can I use any of the old ones front or rear and if not what else do I need to buy to make it work on my new truck?

The TorkLift Camper Tie Down # TLC3220 will not fit your truck, and unless the old tie downs were universal they will not fit either. However, the TorkLift Custom Frame Mounted Tie Down # TLC3221 for the rear and # TLC2225 for the front are custom to fit for your 2021 GMC Sierra 3500 Short Bed.
