What Does EcoHitch Front Hitch EH59FR Weigh and Does it Count Against Capacity of Vehicle

Question:
One of your answers to a question was that the EH59FR is 35lbs. When I received mine yesterday it seemed heavier so I called the customer service at etrailer. The answer I got was shipping weight is 57 lbs. Which is the correct weight? Im trying not to be over the capacity of my truck with the additional weight Ill be carrying.

The actual weight of the EcoHitch front hitch part # EH59FR is 57 lbs. The good news is that the weight of hitches does not count against the vehicle's weight capacity since essentially the hitch becomes part of the vehicle chassis and is not a hitch accessory that gets supported by the hitch.
