Question:

I recently purchased a new 16k deck over utility trailer. I am currently towing with a 2018 Ram 2500. The tounge of the trailer has I believe a 10inch or 12inch beam. Is there a weight distribution system that can be use in this case?

I have an option for you, but that is a pretty large frame rail at 10" - 12".

The one option that will work is the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Hitch # BXW2000 which works with tongue weights between 1500-2000lbs which should be about right of your 16000lb deck over trailer, and to secure it to your frame you will need the Blue Ox Signature Series Lift Brackets for SwayPro Weight Distribution Systems # BXW4021.

This bracket will bolt directly to your frame so the the size will not cause any issues.

This hitch does not include a hitch ball so you will need either 2" hitch ball # A-90 or 2-5/16" hitch ball # 19286 to match the coupler on your trailer.
