Solar Panel Compatibility with 990 Arctic Fox Truck Bed Camper
Updated 07/20/2020 | Published 07/16/2020 >
Question:
I have a 990 Arctic Fox truck camper that indicates it is solar readyinch what does that mean when I add a solar system? What and how long would a 200 watt system provide adequate offroad support?

Expert Reply:
How long a system can support off-road support depends on your battery (or batteries) as well as what your use will be. Running things like AC will drastically change the time you can be away from shore power without a fairly good size generator.
For most other needs, the Go Power Portable Solar System with Digital Solar Controller - 200 Watt Solar Panel # 34282610 will serve you well. It has an output to your battery bank for 11.43 amps so if you have a good bank you will be set for your needs. The prewired solar panel connection will work well with this system.
I've attached an article to help you determine your needs and what battery bank you would need to meet your needs along with this solar charger.
