What Tire Sensors Can I Use With The Factory TPMS System On My 2021 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali?

I recently purchased a 2021 GMC 3500 HD Denali pickup. I have a Rockwood trailer with TST sensors and an external monitor. Can I use the TST sensors with the built in trailing app and trailer pressure monitoring system?

The only trailer tire sensors that will work with the factory TPMS on your 2021 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali is the GM kit 85110397 that is sold through GM. These sensors will need to replace the valve stems on your trailer wheels.

I recommend staying with a system like the TST TPMS # TST-507-FT-4-C. These sensors will monitor the pressure like the GM sensors but unlike the GM sensors they are easier to install and can monitor the temperature inside the tire. This will help you to see if the tires are getting to hot and at risk of having a blow out. This is information that the GM sensor will not help you see.
